A lot has happened since our launch of this first Memory Café for Cornwall. We meet every fortnight (Saturday) between 2pm & 4pm at Launceston Central Methodist Hall.
We strive to provide exciting days either in the Café itself or venturing out for the day.
The founder, Cym Downing, and our group of hardworking volunteers have worked very hard since the opening to ensure fundraising is always ongoing to provide the much needed finance to ensure a venture such as this is always at the heart of the community and available to all those who need to use its facilities.
We are also very fortunate in the support we receive from other charities and agencies as well as the generosity of local people and organisations.
Sustainability is the key issue and Launceston Memory Café is happy to help and support similar ventures and memory cafes.
Mumbles our mascot bear often accompanies people on their holidays and also joins in with our activities. Spain, Dublin, Mauritius are just some of his holiday destinations
